INSTRUCTIONS
This placement test is designed to give students and teachers of English a quick way of assessing the approximate level of a student’s knowledge of English grammar and usage. The test should take around 45 minutes to complete. At the end of the test, you will see your test result and be given a percentage. You will also be able to follow a link to a page that will estimate your level compared to several international English exams (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL); and the Council of Europe language assessment scale. For a more accurate assessment of your English language skills, your listening, speaking and writing skills would also have to be assessed.

How to understand your score:
If you’ve gotten between 1-20 questions right, your level is A1.
If you’ve gotten between 20-30 questions right, your level is A2.
If you’ve gotten between 30-50 questions right, your level is B1.
If you’ve gotten between 50-70 questions right, your level is B2.
If you’ve gotten between 70-80 questions right, your level is C1.
If you’ve gotten more than 80 questions right, your level is C2.
